What's New For Vermont Hardwood Pens

Woods used in these pens is highly figured Vermont hardwoods, exotic woods and acrylic's. The metal is antique sterling silver flatware I have collected over the years. The stone is Iberville shale from the shores of Lake Champlain.

Spring has started out with a bang in more ways than one: Pen orders have been great, thanks to you. And this Spring brings something I've dreamed about for a long time -- a sterling silver and Iberville shale desk pen set. I'm hoping to have four to six different desk pen sets ready by mid-Summer. I'm working with Jeff Demand on beautifully detailed designs for desk pen parts and holders for the pen. Jeff is a first-class artist and designer, and with his collaboration in making my ideas real, these sets will be special, and each one-of-a-kind.

People ask if I get tired making pens, because I do make a lot of them. But I don't get tired because every one is special, no two are alike, each is beautiful. So, no, I never get tired of making pens. I love it more each time I make one! It is so exciting to make something that so many people want. In 2007, I was very busy all summer and all the way through Christmas and was unable to have enough inventory to do any Christmas craft shows. I was just barely able to keep up, thanks to my sister Joanne, who helped me with some very large orders. I've trained her to make pens just as good as mine. If you are thinking about placing an order, do it sooner than later or you could have a few weeks wait for your pens.
Note that the sterling desk sets have limited availability and become available as I dream them up and produce them. If you have your own custom design in mind for a desk set, we can work together to create it!

Ice Fishing On Lake Champlain

Spring seems to be right around the corner but the ice and snow is still hanging on. I got to do a little ice fishing this Winter, not much luck with the fish but I just love being out on the ice.
